A wooded lot rarely gives up its trees easily. Rogeruethsgarden clears trees, brush, and undergrowth, then grubs out the stumps and roots below the surface so they cannot heave a driveway or foundation later. We haul the debris off or mulch it on-site, opening an overgrown parcel near Ramsey Road or a rural stand up by Athol into ground ready for the next phase of work.

Why Grubbing Below Grade Matters

• Roots that stay, rot. Buried stumps and root balls decay over the years and leave voids that settle, which is why grubbing goes below the surface rather than just cutting flush.
• A cleaner start. Removing organic material down to mineral soil gives grading and compaction a stable base instead of spongy ground.
• Fire and access. Clearing brush along a driveway also opens defensible space and room for equipment to reach the build site.

Our Process

We flag what stays, file the 811 locate, and start with the standing trees before working down to brush and stumps with an excavator and skid steer. Grubbed material and topsoil get separated so the good soil can be respread, and the surplus is hauled or mulched. We finish by rough grading the cleared area so it drains and is ready for site prep.
